I found Brenda Oldfield’s website three years ago when I was looking for a Papillon. It was important to me that I was dealing with a reputable breeder so I had been searching for months. Finding Brenda was a blessing! I was very pleased to see how she treated her pups like family. I could tell she was checking me out to see what kind of parent I would be as much as I was assessing the situation around me when I arrived to see the puppies. I could not have been happier with the results. My husband and I ended up with a beautiful black and white Papillon that we named Little Britches Jr., after his Dad! He is healthy and his temperament is so sweet. Brenda has always welcomed questions and has offered her assistance even years after we adopted our pup. We have been considering an addition to our family and I will not go to any other breeder except for Brenda! I recommend her to everyone that asks me about our Papillon. I was lucky to find such a wonderful Pap and such a good breeder!

The Oldfield’s and their dogs are now an important part of our family and always will be. In 2007 I contacted Brenda because my husband said I could get a dog but it had to be small, a lapdog and one that sheds minimally due to our living in military housing. I saw our dog Bella on her website at breedersclub.net; she was one of the tiniest prettiest babies that Brenda had and I had to have her. Bella became the Diva of our house and my college classes that I took her to when I had to attend classes. Still at 2 pounds 7 ounces Bella is a beauty, well mannered and an outright angel who manages to hold court with no efforts wherever we go. With the title of “Most Adorable” from everyone we meet, Bella is a wonderful addition to my hectic life for she is so loving and calm. The four boys love her dearly and pamper her as much as my husband does. However we realized that she was missing a friend so a year later we contacted her again with the thought of adopting another puppy to keep our little Diva company. We found an almost identical match in size and coloring with Jasper, but an unfortunate accident took him from us way too early and through our heartbreak and grieving the Oldfield’s asked us if we wanted to have his brother to assist in our healing and especially for our Bella who was going downhill fast due to losing her little friend. Pepper, a wonderful little boy joined our family in July and became the court jester with his antics and snuggling. Pepper weighed in at 4 pounds 4 ounces at his last vet visit and LOVES to snuggle, tease and torment his older sister while playing snatch the bone, torment with the tuggie and let’s go for a walk with her hanging on the back of the stuffed toys and him pulling her across the wood floor. His favorite things to lick are hands and feet which drives my children nuts when I get him to wake them up in the morning because has determined that he is the alarm clock and they have to get up to play with him right away. Even now I am wondering is two really enough but for now it will have to be as our love grows with these two babies that have taken a firm spot on my husband’s side of the bed, our family and in our hearts. Thank you so much Brenda for the precious babies you have given us to raise as our own. To all those debating on these little guys and gals, You cannot go wrong in any way with the wonderful attributes that the dogs have. Great with little ones, minimal if any at all in shedding, easy to train, smart and always beautiful they are an asset to any family.

Brenda, I just wanted to say thank you for everything! You have been the most kind, helpful and understanding breeder, I have ever met. I can’t wait to see Buttons and I will do my best in taking care of him. I had my doubts in buying a puppy online and sending you the cashier check, but everything went so well. Thanks again! I will try to send you updated pictures of him from time to time.

I enjoyed talking to you. I called a few breeders, yesterday and they ran the gambit from being downright creepy to being good. You were far and away the breeder who sounded the most knowledgeable and caring.
Thanks, again, Yvette S (04/26/07)
I can’t say enough nice things about Brenda. We bought our male Papillon two years ago and he was potty trained and crate trained. He has been our shining light since day one and Brenda and I have stayed in touched some. I have taken him back to see her on two occasions when I was driving down I-20 . He is beautiful, totally healthy and a wonderful dog. I hope you are getting a pap, even though she has other breeds. We have had many dogs over the years, but never one like this pap. He is TOO smart and trains very easily. I would like to have at least 2 more, but hubby won’t agree, (yet).
Brenda and Randy are completely trustworthy and she will give you many tips. We changed over the last year to the feed that she is using from Arkansas and it’s the first food he has really eaten well. Brenda is filled with ideas, is very knowledgeable and you can trust her. She will not tell you lies just to sell you one of her puppies. In fact , she is rather careful about who she sells to and has even turned people away that she thought would not be good parents to her babies.
Good luck on your purchase and please send me photos. Hope you are getting a Pap. Wish paps had been in my life forever! What a dream dog.

We have acquired two papillons from Brenda: Xena is 4 years old, acquired at 8 wks; Lola at 14 wks. Xena is a 9 lb female. She is the apple of our eye. Lola is about 3 lbs and also a female. Brenda has been extremely faithful to her agreements with us, and continues to be available for advice in the breed, or any other questions. When the time comes for us to add to our “family”, we will not hesitate to ask Brenda to provide her services, again. In our opinion, you have located good, conscientious breeder. Don’t lose her.

Brenda Oldfield was a God sent to me. I had recently lost my beloved pet of 15 years to old age and I was very upset until a friend mentioned that maybe I needed to replace my broken heart with an open one for a new beloved pet. So, I started looking for puppies and I came across Brenda's gallery of beautiful puppies and I fell in love. She was wonderful to work with and the result is that I have my Gizmo and he is soooooo loved and spoiled. He was the easiest puppy I ever had to house train and teach tricks to. He sits, lays & stays and if I am lucky he will speak when asked to. He is full of fun and play, not to mention that unconditional love he has. He gets along great with other dogs, since I am a grandmother of four other dogs they all play together and on occasion they sleep over. Gizmo has proven my husband wrong, who claims he was not a BIG dog lover. They have their own playtime everyday and my husband treats him as one of the children. What a life!!!! Again, I cannot say enough good
about Brenda. If you are in search of a good pet then she is the one you need to see.
